Where To Start

There are 28 basic strokes in the Chinese language, as there are 26 letters in the English alphabet. It is recommended that you start learning the Chinese language with the Writing Chinese Strokes CD. From there, you should learn how to write and pronounce Chinese characters. Once you have an understanding of the strokes and characters, you will want to study basic Chinese grammar and Chinese phoenetics and Pinyin. The entry level CD series provides a natural progression for learning Chinese at your own speed and provides a reference, should you stop or forget.
